An Ode To Powderburn!
One of my Rockstar’s good friends happens to be, well, a legitimate rockstar. They are pretty well-known in the Austin/Houston area’s and are sponsored by Jagermeister. I’m not personally a big fan of the “metal” scene but these guys are good. And to prove how good they are, they were recently asked to open for KORN on the Jagermeister Music Tour for a couple of dates. That’s a pretty mega-big deal.
So…in light of their recent accomplishments, I dedicate this post to the boys of Powderburn! I know you can’t hear it through pictures, but I can assure you that the guitarist, Mr. Eric Smith is one, if not THE most talented guitarist I have ever seen live. And I’ve seen LOTS of bands…famous and not yet famous, and he puts them all to shame.
If you happen to be in the Austin or San Antonio areas this weekend, you should check them out. Friday night at Weirdo’s in Austin and Saturday in San Antonio at the Sunken Gardens Theater opening for KORN. Watch them do what they’ve been waiting to do their whole lives…and that’s play kick-ass music to a big crowd of rowdy fans.
