MOVIE REVIEW: Get Him to the Greek If you’re like me and you really love slapstick comedy ala Tommy Boy, Old School, Zoolander, Step Brothers, etc…then you’ll love this movie. I did. I liked Forgetting Sarah Marshall, so I was stoked to see a reprisal of the character, Aldous Snow, played by that charming Brit, Russel Brand. Plus…it had a plot. And a good one. Rockstar at the top of world, tumbles and finds his way back to stardom….but not without shenanigans. Jonah Hill plays a lovable yet awkward music rep given the task to get Aldous Snow to the Greek Theater…and he gets taken on QUITE a ride! For me the breakout star was Rose Byrne…who plays Aldous Snow’s ex-wife/baby Mama and PopStar. Her character is just that…a character, who you really want to hate, but again, is quite charming while being bitchy. I liked it. You might too. And I understand that Russell Brand is an acquired taste or a love him or hate him type of guy. I love him. If you love him, you will love this movie. 3***’s by me.
